BOONE/AREA CONNECTED DEATHS

     Janet Lea Jackson Cross, 91, Boone/Eastern Star. BHS-52. Married Carl Edward Cross Sr. in 1953. The couple had three children, Carl Edward (Letha)  Jr., Marvin (Terri) Cross and Marsha (Matthew) Arrowood. Janet worked as a telephone operator but later, dedicated many years as a teacher's aide at Page and Bryant schools. She taught Sunday school, was the leader of youth groups and conducted Bible studies. Played the piano and sang. Sisters Charlotte (Ralph) Anderson and Judith (John) Rossey survive. A private family service.

     Mary Alice Landhuis, 89. Born in Ogden. Grand Junction HS-53. Degree in Education and History from McPherson College in Kansas in 1957. Married Dr. Leo Landhuis in 1957. Mary taught PE and English at Wellman, IA. Earned a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Biology from Stephens College in Missouri in 1984. Served her church in many ways for over 50 years. Active quilter, a prolific reader and staunch supporter of Stephens College music, drama and sports programs. A sister survives. Services in Adel and Des Moines area.

     Jerry Kennedy, 93, Grand Junction. Surviving children include Kathleen (Greg) Savits and James (Julie)  Kennedy both of Ogden. Services in Grand Junction. A brother also survives. Services in Grand Junction.
