BOONE/AREA CONNECTED DEATHS

      Morris G. Sloan, MD, 95, Boone. An Indiana native. Valpariso HS. Received B.A. and M.D. degrees from the State University of Iowa. Married Mary Lou Busching in 1952 in Clarksville. The couple lived in Lansing during his internship and then moved to Fort Polk, LA. where he served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. In residency, the family moved to Des Moines for his work at Iowa Methodist Hospital. Morris became Board Certified in Radiology in 1961 with a nuclear medicine medallion. From 1960-87, he practiced Radiology at Boone County Hospital with Walt Dennert. M.D. and Mac Jones, M.D.. Their group also served hospitals in the surrounding towns of Jefferson, Guthrie Center, Ames, Nevada and Story City. Morris retired in 1987. He loved reading, traveling, fishing trips to Leech Lake, watching Jeopardy and traveling with Mary Lou. They enjoyed many winters in Corpus Christi, TX. Morris was Past President of the Boone County Medical Society and Past Chief of Staff at the Boone County Hospital. Four children survive, Debbie, BHS-73; Alan, BHS-76; Bob, BHS-78; and Mark, BHS-81. A COL is planned for later time. 

       Marietta Louise Harmsen Comer, 82, Perry. Married John Comer in Boone in 1969. Was a CNA for many years at Woodward State Hospital. retired in 1974. Her husband, John, is among the survivors. Service in Perry.   

       Tom Stone, 85, Perry. Survivors include a daughter, Julie (Andrew) Hudnell, of Ogden. Service in Perry.       

       Jason Alan Sorenson, 52, Fort Dodge. Survivors include a sister, Jill (Dan) Smith, of Boone. Service in Fort Dodge.    

       Dean Feldman, 65, Ames. Survivors include a step-son, Jeremy (Michelle) Parks, of Boone. Service in Ames.
