Judith Lorraine Elsberry Hand, 78, Boone/Eastern Star. Married Jerry Lavern Hand in 1966. She was a fulltime mom for seven years before working at ISU in the printing department and as a secretary at United Community School. She was promoted to business manager at United and held that position for the remainder of her working career. An avid reader, she enjoyed bowling, dancing, camping, fishing, quilting and traveling. The couple camped in the Ledges during the summer and migrated to Arizona for the winter. Survivors include her husband, Jerry, a daughter, a sister and a brother. Services in Boone, Madrid and Luther.
Gary C. Wisecup II, 57, Boone. Born in Boone. BHS-85. Has been employed by Earl May, Orscheln, Swan Creek and Fareway. Survivors include a sister, Cindy Flugstad. No services planned.
Marcella Lydia Licht Nell, 93, Boone/Eastern Star. Born in Fort Dodge. FDHS. Concordia Teachers College and taught at St. Paul's Lutheran School near Boone. Married Orville (Shorty) Nell in 1953 and the couple farmed until retirement and a move to Boone in 1996. Survivors include two sons, a daughter and three sisters. Services in Boone and at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Willard Lundahl, 99, Madrid. Born in rural Madrid. Luther HS-42 where he became class president and participated in sports and 4-H. Navy vet. Married Anne Douglass in Maxwell in 1959. Willard was active in Pork Producers, the City State Bank, United Mutual Insurance and Farm Bureau boards, the Boone County Fair, American Legion and Lion's Club. He enjoyed reading and traveling and was a participant in Freedom Flight in 2017. Survivors include a son and daughter. A COL will be held in Madrid.
